We need to keep score in or organizations, but we don't want to just measure something for the sake of measuring. We want to have meaningful numbers that create energy to help us to get the results we need. What are areas you can measure that will bring positive energy into your culture?
I had the privilege of having a meeting this week at the Ohio State stadium to talk to a group of people about keeping score. Watch the video below to hear more about that.
Just as a sports team is driven by the scoreboard, so are your employees! If you want to "Win" you need to know the score. It doesn't matter if you create great systems . . . you have to know the facts . . . MEASURING IS YOUR SUCCESS!
What do you need to measure? Here are some suggestions:
- Efficiency on Actual vs. Budgeted hours
- Prospect call backs
- Indirect Hours and Expenses
- Customer responses
- Unnecessary Returns
- Quality Control
- Client Satisfaction
- Organization and Site Cleanliness
- Follow Up Time and Initial Response Time
- Equipment Appearance
- Safety
- Equipment Repair
- Budget Controls
- Employee Morale
- On-time Material deliveries
I hope to see you at a Face-to-Face this year where we can continue this discussion! Check out our locations here.
